WET AND WILD WITH WSSL

The LEN European Aquatics Championships Swimming, Diving, Synchro Masters was the most exciting WET AND WILD event to be held in this Country.

The event took place in the fantastic LONDON AQUATICS CENTRE over a 21 day period during which time in the region of 40,000 spectators were thrilled by circa 20,000 competitors. The logistics of handling the through input of visitors and those participating was given over to WISE SECURITY and brought various capacity control challenges all of which we are delighted to say were dealt with in true WSSL fashion.

Incorporating the build up and break down this event utilised in excess of 100 WSSL staff manning over 1000 working shifts. Due to the complexity and volume of events it required many of the WSSL team to be on site as early as 4am and as late as 2am on many of the days.

The General Manager of the Aquatics Centre Gregg Holland commented ”We use WISE SECURITY for all of our events and they never let us down”.

There was a busy, buzzy atmosphere throughout the event and it gave competitors young and old the one off chance to compete in the 2012 Olympic pool.

Tom Chambers CEO of LEN expressed his complete satisfaction with all that the WSSL team had done and commented to our MD James ”Your guys did really well, it couldn’t have been better handled”.

This fantastic event could not have been the success that it was without the GREAT Event Management Team from both LEN and The LAS and of course the GREAT work by all of the WSSL team, well done and THANK YOU all.
