February 23rd 2020 was a special day for English Rugby – a resounding victory over long-time rivals Ireland, a 24-12 win that helped push England to the top of the Six Nations League. However, it was also a special day for Wise Security, a return to the “Home of Rugby” for us as a company and many of our employees.

Twickenham’s huge capacity, up to 82,000, creates incredible atmospheres supported with external fan zones, bars and food stalls from every corner of the country and the famous Rose and Poppy Gates.

We were tasked with various duties at the stadium including but not limited to the below:

  • Traffic Management
  • Crowd Management
  • Wayfinding
  • Ticket Checking
  • Response Teams
  • General Security
  • Hospitality

Never shy of a challenge, our first boots on the ground were at 05:30AM, an early start has never put us off though! We were the first ones in and the last ones out, making sure the perimeters were secured and that everybody who came to the match had a great day.

Needless to say we were incredibly proud to be back at the historic stadium, along with all of our staff on the ground who enjoyed a great day in the sun! Our Company Rep, Daniel Frost, had this to say: “It was brilliant to be back at the home of rugby, Twickenham. This is such a unique venue,  walking into the stadium full of passionate rugby fans will bring a smile to any sports loving person. Our staff on the ground have performed admirably today and look forward to returning again in a few weeks’ time!”

Once again it was an absolute privilege being back at the ‘home of English rugby’ and continuing where we left off for all future events.
