After a years hiatus, London saw a return to it’s world-famous marathon. Returning in October after the 2020 event was cancelled due to the Pandemic.

For the runner’s, it was a welcome return to the streets of London – winding their way from Greenwich and across all the famous London sites such as the Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge and finishing on The Mall outside Buckingham Palace.

Wise Security played a pivotal role in supporting the crowd management for one of the biggest London Marathon’s to date. Our team could be found at Tower Bridge, near the halfway mark, supporting in crowd management in the packed streets around the Tower of London. Wise Security also had a big hand in Westminster where the runners would meet back with their friends and families after running the 26.2 miles.

On a surprisingly good day for the weather, given it was October, our team were in great spirits and over the moon to be supporting such a unique event. Wise Security’s Operation’s Manager, Daniel Frost, had this to say on the event “Our team’s at Tower Bridge and Westminster worked exceptionally at an event like no other. It was great to see so many people out to watch the runners, especially since the pandemic. We can’t wait to support this magnificent event next year once again”.

After 3 successful “running’s” Wise Security will be back in action at the London Marathon next year when the event will return to it’s normal running in April 2022.
