In 2018 Wise Security Services Ltd (WSSL) completed twelve consecutive years of being the exclusive contract supplier of Safety Stewards and Security staff to Millwall Football Club (MFC).

During this time they have provided staff that have fulfilled approximately 30,000 working positions at over 250 matches. James Wise (WSSL MD) along with key senior management have been involved with MFC for over 22 years. The working relationship between these two organisations is second to none and WSSL have been pleased to be called on to assist in many ways over the years for requirements over and above home fixture football matches. With some years remaining of the current contract between these two Companies the value that MFC place upon WSSL is being displayed by early talks to extend our current contract.

WSSL have for the past 6 years been working closely with the Security and Safety management of  MFC in their review and incentive to reinvent their fan base attraction. This was recognised and rewarded in 2017 when the club was awarded the Family Club of the Year trophy at the annual EFL Awards. The Lions collected the prestigious award for the first time in the club’s history.

A complete overhaul of Millwall’s strategy in attracting new young supporters and families to The Den began in the summer of 2013 when the new Zampa’s Family Stand was opened in The Dockers Upper. For the first time it provided a dedicated area for families, equipped with games consoles, confectionery stalls, a mock dugout as well as face painters, regular drawing competitions and so much more.

MFC have also been recognised for the tremendous efforts that they have made in local community activists and projects.

WSSL was so pleased to receive a letter from the club thanking them for their handling of the recently played match against Leeds United. The letter reflected the praise that WSSL received from The Senior Safety Team, SGSA and the Football Association following their attendance and observations of this match. In addition to staff performance the pre-match preparation and quality of the staff briefing was highlighted as being exemplary.

James Wise (WSSL MD) said “this match in particular was a challenging one for our staff and I am delighted to say how pleased I was and more importantly how pleased our valid client Millwall Football Club was with their magnificent performance. It’s an honour and a pleasure to work with this fantastic club”
