The Tall Ships – 2014
Date Posted | 02/09/2014
The Royal Greenwich Tall Ships took place over four sites 5th – 9th September 2014 and Wise Security were proud to be the supplier for all Security and Stewarding needs.
The ships sailed in and whilst many local business’s reported they had their busiest days ever, Wise Security were kept on their toes when over 600,000 people visited the Greenwich sites. More than 50 ships from countries around the world covered the Thames on what was the biggest draw to the Olympic borough of Greenwich since the London 2012 Olympics.
Wise Security oversaw all night staff, day staff, security and stewarding staff on the ground as well as on the water! Wise Stewards proudly wore their bib and helped spectators board the Thames Clipper making their day as enjoyable as possible.
The Greenwich site was home to the famous Jack Sparrow, who kept our staff and spectators entertained throughout the day.
Our Victoria Deep Water site was very busy with our staff showing spectators the route to the biggest ship of all ‘The Dar’.
Whilst Canary Wharf may have seemed the smallest site, it boasted the most extravagant ships of all who sailed in happily ready to be greeted by their spectators. Our staff were ready and on hand to direct the crowds.
