Supervisors Meeting – Strengthening Leadership and Raising Standards
Date Posted | 15/08/2025
We recently held our Annual Supervisors Meeting, bringing together our lead team for a focused day of training, development, and collaboration. The session was designed to reinforce the standards we expect across all venues and equip our supervisors with the tools and confidence to lead effectively.
The day covered a wide range of essential topics, including:
- The importance of reading and following instructions to avoid costly errors
- Key responsibilities such as briefing staff, monitoring performance, and managing underperformance
- The need for accurate documentation, including timesheets, registers, and incident reports
- Practical training in fire extinguisher use, covering both theoretical knowledge and hands-on demonstrations
- SCaN (See, Check and Notify) training, aimed at improving situational awareness, identifying suspicious behaviour, and knowing how to respond appropriately in customer-facing roles
James Wise, Managing Director, shared his insights on the day:
“This meeting was a fantastic opportunity to invest in our people. It was well received and highlighted the commitment our supervisors have to maintaining high standards. We’re focused on making our staff better – more confident, more capable, and more consistent in delivering excellent service. That’s how we expand as a team and as a business.”
As we move forward, we remain committed to developing our teams, supporting our supervisors, and ensuring that every member of staff leads by example. The Supervisors Meeting was a strong reminder that great leadership starts with preparation, communication, and pride in the role.
